What we have been up to...

Since I am so behind on my blogging I thought I would just give some snapshots of what we have been doing the past couple months. Trust me, it's not a lot. I have been so exhausted through this first trimester of pregnancy that all I want to do is come home and curl up on the couch with Jason and a good movie! I have managed to support Fresno High Baseball at their fall ball games, catch some Clovis West and Fresno State football games, head out of town for the Italian Festival in Reno and hit Disneyland to see the Halloween decor!

Tiny Fingers, Tiny Toes, Little Itty-Bitty Clothes...

If you are wondering why I have not blogged since September I am here to answer that question. I am pregnant. Yay! However, I had no idea the misery that morning (noon and night) sickness can bring! I have continuously asked several of my friends, "why didn't you warn me?" At one point it was my daily goal just to get out of bed to take a shower! I didn't feel like blogging, updating my facebook status, or leaving the house for that matter! However, I am at the three month mark and I am gradually noticing energy picking back up, and that disturbing nausea feeling coming and going more often. Enough about why I haven't been my normal self and on to the excitement that is coming me and Jason's way! We found out we were pregnant in September, on my father-in -laws birthday! It was surreal. I looked down at the test and saw two lines and immediately began shaking, it was the most exciting feeling I have ever had. From that moment on, we were changed. At only 4 weeks old, the size of a poppy seed, we loved that baby, we were smitten. The weeks that followed were hard, we wanted to be so excited, share the news with everyone but we knew it was too early. Every week that passed by was a blessing, a huge accomplishment. The weekly updates on the development of the baby were so exciting and so amazing. I love the Lord, with all my heart, but I have to say I am more in awe of him everyday. There are no words for the gift, the miracle of life he has blessed us with. When you read that your baby, the size of a kidney bean; has a heart that is broken into 4 chambers, a brain, arms and legs it leaves you in disbelief. It is the sole miracle of our creator who can perform such an amazing feat. Three weeks ago we saw our baby for the first time through ultra sound, the baby was moving all around and waving little arms! We could see the babies little heartbeat going a million miles a minute! It was at this point it sunk in, this is real, we are having a baby! I am ecstatic for my parents, my in-laws, and our sister's who are becoming grandparents and aunts for the first time! Baby Papi is one lucky baby! I announced the news to my class last week on crazy day, I had a "bun in the oven" costume. It was such a relief to tell all those we hold near and dear to our hearts! I have received wonderful gifts, lots of great advice and celebrated with many friends. Thank you to all who have kept me, Jason and baby Papi in your prayers. Lately, you can find me scouring the Internet for nursery room ideas, cribs, bedding, diaper bags, strollers, car seats, you name it! We can hardly wait to find out if it is a boy or girl so we can begin purchasing, we have bedding picked out for both! We are so excited for this new chapter in our life, perhaps the most exciting and life changing chapter in our life. We are counting down the days until May!
