Livin' It Up...LA Style

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip down south...for many reasons. One being it was Melissa's 25th birthday so we had to go big, two, we wanted to catch the Glee Tour live and three, it was time to re-new our Disneyland passes...we have missed the happiest place on earth so much! We left Saturday morning (okay, LATE morning), we made a stop at the bottom of the grapevine for Chipotle and made it to our hotel in Anaheim by 4:00. It was time to get ready for Glee! We drove to the Staples center giddy as could be, brainstorming what songs they might sing! It was exciting to think about because they have done and can do so many songs, we knew we were going to get a variety of music. We ate dinner (very fast) at ESPN Zone, I have been there before but this time we must have been starving because everything we ordered tasted AMAZING! We made it through the doors of the Staples Center at 8:00 sharp, snapped a quick photo with the Glee sign and headed to our seats. After the opening act, a dance team, we looked to our left and low and behold walking down the stairs was The Beast, the football coach from Glee! She sat about 15 rows in front of us for the show, the secret service (or whatever those guys are called) kept asking her if she wanted to move or them to shoo the fans off but she said "no" and smiled big for every picture. The show was amazing, probably the best concert I have been to. They sang everything from Michael Jackson's "PYT" to Pink's "Raise Your Glass" to Wicked's, "Defying Gravity" to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" to Katy Perry's " Firework." Each song had a new outfit, dance, and backdrop. We kept hoping we might run into one of the many celebrities we knew were there to watch the show, but we had no luck. It was an amazing concert with amazing friends, I wouldn't have traded it for anything...

Don't Stop BelievingWe had so much fun!
We headed to the Happiest Place on Earth on Sunday! We have not been since October, which is a long time for J and I! It felt so good from the moment we got off the tram, I could smell the ice cream shop, hear the music, and see all my favorite shops and rides! We made sure to pick up a birthday button for Melissa on our way through the gate...it was still her birthday weekend! First stop: re-new or passes, check! We will now be enjoying Disneyland whenever our hearts desire! We spent the day riding our favorite rides like Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and Soaring Over California, eating yummy meals and snacks, and finished the night at Downtown Disney. It is always a good time when the Waldrums' and Papis' spend the day at the park together, we are getting it down to a science! Can't wait for many more trips this year! Until next time...
